In the everyday rush, it’s easy to gloss over the details that make objects or experiences so unique and exquisite, to forget the many things in life that are fleeting – the plethora of thoughts that rush through our heads each second, the moment that you lock eyes with a stranger, or the blur of scenery that graces the window of a car on a long road trip.

Poetry to me is more than imagery and imagination– it is something between music and storytelling, something just beyond the “existing names of the colors,” but at the same time, not quite above the grasp of language.

It is a portrait of the fleeting, immortalized in words.
